Who We Are
The Pharma Recruiters is a Woman-Owned, National BioPharma and Medical Device Recruiting and Consulting Firm focused in specifically in this industry, based in the Memphis, Tennessee area.
We take great pride in our team of experts and their ability to serve clients with excellence. Our entire careers have been devoted to the industries we have served. Holding positions from Sales Representative to National Sales Director roles, the insight offered by The Pharma Recruiters also comes through decades of successful experience launching a variety of well-known branded products. For the last 18 years, we have been ramping-up and leading sales teams with a number of top companies such as Roche Diagnostics, Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals, Mylan Specialty, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals, AutoZone, Trader Publishing, and IDEXX Laboratories.
There are numerous recruiters within the industry, though not all recruiters are created equally. We believe it is important for a recruiter to have first-hand knowledge and experience working within the industry and for the roles they are recruiting. Our Team
Beverly Savage has almost 30 years of sales and senior level leadership experience in the healthcare industry with increasing roles of responsibility from sales representative to senior leadership roles such as District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Director of Sales and President of her own Home Healthcare Company. She has enjoyed working with Top Companies in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Diagnostics, Veterinary Health and Senior Home Health Care segments of the industry such as Roche Diagnostics Corporation, Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals, Dey Pharma/Mylan, inVentiv (Syneos) Health, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals, and IDEXX Laboratories to name a few.
She has successfully launched 21 Rx, OTC, and Medical Device branded products in the healthcare industry, and in doing so, hired and developed numerous high performing sales and clinical educator teams in the process over the last 18 years. Not only was a she a multiple President's Club Winner herself, she also hired and developed 7 President's Club Winners while leading her Sales Teams. In addition, she has been the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer who has successfully launching 2 companies in the healthcare industry, one of which, a Home Care Agency, was successfully sold.
Throughout her career, her passion and strength has always been launching new incredible products and client centric services successfully that can positively impact patient care. She knows first-hand what it takes to be successful in this industry by building high performing teams and assisting great talent secure their dream jobs in a dynamic industry. She retired from the industry to utilize her expertise developed over decades to do what she loves everyday on a larger scale by launching The Pharma Recruiters (formerly known as Bluff City Consulting) where she will be able assist many other client companies with their Talent Acquisition needs in strategically launching new products and commercial teams who will make an impact on patient care and grow the revenues of their organizations as well.
Beverly graduated from the University of Memphis with a B.B.A. in Finance. She is an avid equestrian since the age of 3, and a devoted Memphis Tigers Basketball fan. She is married to Tony Savage, who is also her business partner and co-founder. She loves spending time with family and friends, enjoys a variety of sports, and especially spending time outdoors with their precious Corgi, Haley.
Tony Savage has decades of experience in the Automotive and Distribution Industries in the areas of Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Operations with increasing levels of responsibility holding leadership roles such as Customer Service Manager, District Sales Manager, Marketing Manager, General Manager and Vice President of his own Home Healthcare Company that he co-founded.
The early years of his career began as a Customer Service Manager and Sales Manager with Clevite Industries based in Collierville, Tennessee to becoming a Marketing Analyst for AutoZone where he performed Market and Demographic Studies to identify key locations for their store expansions throughout the U.S. Later in his career, he became the General Manager of Auto Trader Publishing/Magazines where he was responsible for the Memphis Branch Management of more than 100 employees, overseeing 15 weekly print magazines including Sales and Distribution.
Tony’s experience in sales, marketing, operations and customer service and knowledge within the Automotive, Distribution, and Healthcare industries are a great asset to The Pharma Recruiters (formerly known as Bluff City Consulting). He understands how critical it is to hire the right people to move an organization forward in reaching their goals and objectives.
Tony attended Mississippi State University and the University of Memphis. He too is a devoted fan of Memphis Tigers Basketball. Tony is an avid Street Rod enthusiast and owner. His vehicles have won numerous awards and have been published in Truckin’ Magazine, a national publication. Married to Beverly Savage, his business partner, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching and participating in various sports, and loves his cars, the outdoors and their pets.
Together, Beverly and Tony, have set out make each Client’s Company Vision their Mission to produce Better Results. They intend to elevate the Recruiting process. After all, they have the industry experience to draw upon as they assist their clients.
